This
fund-raising event for the flood victims in
central Vietnam was held at Galaxy Restaurant
on Sunday, November 29, 1999 with the roomful of audience coming to
pledge financial and mental support for the unfortunate flood victims.
The proceeds in excess of $20,000 was delivered directly to the hands
of needy people around Hue City.
The program
was jointly organized by the VCSMW, Gia Long
Alumni Association (East Coast Chapter), Petrus
Ky Alumni Association, Quoc Hoc Alumni Association,
Dong Khanh Alumni Association, Suong Nguyet
Anh Alumni Association, Long Xuyen Association,
Go Cong Association, and Thien Tam Association,
with the charitable appearances of singers Ngoc
Hue and Charles Pham from California.
