Was
held on Sunday, August 15, 1999 in the Performing
Arts Building, Room A323, at George Mason University
in Fairfax. Trained as a classical pianist
and well versed in Vietnamese and Western literature,
Steven Vinh Lac Tran compared and contrasted
Vietnamese and Western music. The young,
dynamic speaker delighted the audience with
his keen analyses from linguistic perspective.
He also performed some short piano compositions.
